Overview

NexGen was founded in 2011 by Leigh Curyer and a group of proven uranium industry professionals who shared in the belief that uranium would play a critical role in the delivery of a clean energy future for the planet. Focused on the acquisition, exploration, and development of Canadian uranium projects, they set out to find a Tier 1 asset in the southwestern Athabasca Basin. On February 14, 2014, NexGen discovered Arrow - the largest, highest grade ‘to-be-developed’ uranium deposit in Canada. Subsequently, multiple new high-grade uranium discoveries have been made on NexGen's properties.

Projects

With a strong portfolio considered to be the among the most prospective uranium properties known, NexGen has the most significant land position in Saskatchewan’s southwest Athabasca Basin, where it holds over 190,000 hectares.

The vast land package held by NexGen along the southwestern boundary of the Athabasca Basin in northern Saskatchewan, at SW1, SW2 (home of Arrow at the Rook I Project), and SW3, is considered by industry experts to be the pre-eminent uranium exploration area globally for high-grade, high-tonnage mineralization. This is a function of the world-class, high-grade, and high-tonnage mineralization discovered to date. Extensive geophysical surveys conducted over the past 10 years have identified numerous, untested targets on anomalies consistent with known mineralization.

Arrow is a 100% land-based, basement-hosted, and high-grade uranium discovery which is the largest development-stage uranium deposit in Canada. Additionally, the Company discovered "South Arrow" (July 2017), “Harpoon” (August 2016), "Bow" (March 2015) and “Cannon” (April 2016) 400 m, 4.7 km, 3.7 km, and 1.3 km away from Arrow, respectively. Harpoon is the most significant mineralized area since the discovery of Arrow. The company remains well-funded to continue through advanced engineering in support of mine and mill construction at the Arrow Deposit, and for further exploration drilling on the Rook I property.

NexGen's 2024 exploration program builds on 2023 exploration results, which advanced the geological investigation of previously unexplored corridors and produced priority targets for the 2024 campaign. NexGen's 2024 30,000-meter exploration drill program is testing priority targets on NexGen's 100% owned properties that dominate the boundary of the proven high-grade uranium district of the southwest Athabasca Basin.

Through exploration drilling and strategic geophysical surveys, NexGen is progressing high priority targets to advance towards the discovery of additional material mineralization. The focus of this expanded exploration program is to test for new “Arrow-type” mineralized zones across NexGen’s strong land position in the southwest Athabasca Basin.

The new discovery on Patterson Corridor East (PCE) highlights the abundant remaining potential on NexGen’s properties and is the focus of summer 2024 drilling. Results have rapidly indicated an expansive mineralized footprint with remarkable continuity with geological characteristics very analogous to Arrow indicating a large, pervasive and high-grade system.
