ROLE OVERVIEW

The Sr. ERP Administrator will play a critical role in overseeing NexGen Energy’s ERP system. This position will oversee the system administration and long term planning of the organization ERP system ( SAP ByDesign, Successfactors and Leaning Management System “LMS”) and oversee the compliance reporting within those systems.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
(including but not limited to):

  • Administer and maintain the ERP applications, ensuring they are functioning correctly.
  • Monitor system updates and patches to maintain the security and functionality of the ERP systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot user tickets as they arise, working with outside vendors to manage support tickets and enhancements.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce ERP governance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to governance policies and reporting as required.
  • Review and update user access and permissions / security protocols / roles as needed.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and development teams for system enhancements, bug fixes, and customizations.
  • Review and approve changes, ensuring they meet business requirements and governance standards.
  • Lead or participate in projects aimed at enhancing the ERP systems themselves and related processes and/or its integration with other systems.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Oversee the testing and deployment of updates and new features.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing issues and questions related to the ERP systems.
  • Develop and deliver training as needed to ensure users are proficient in utilizing the ERP applications.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and budgeting processes for ERP systems and related projects.
  • Align ERP system initiatives with the overall business strategy and objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in computer science, information technology, or related field considered an asset.
  • SAP ByDesign, Successfactors and SAP LMS experience preferred.
  • Overall SAP system experience required.
  • 7+ years of experience in ERP systems administration.
  • Strong understanding of ERP system architecture, modules, and components.
  • Familiarity with ERP system integration with other enterprise systems, HRIS, and financial systems.
  • 7+ years experience of managing ERP system enhancement from requirements gathering to rollout.
  • Understanding of SAP authorization concept, roles, different user and role types, and user administration on different SAP platforms.
  • Solid understanding of application security implementation methodologies, role-based access controls and different applications threats.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and provide coordination across multiple disciplines.
  • Understanding of accounting and procurement business processes is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Sound judgment and very strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

LOCATION

The role will be based in our Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Office.
