Role Overview

The Site Services Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations at the Rook I Project Site to ensure site services run safely and efficiently across construction and operational phases. This role focuses on coordinating administrative, logistical, and technical tasks related to surface infrastructure, including the camp, accommodations, airstrip, kitchen, warehouse, and associated facilities. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the position plays a vital role in documentation, contractor coordination, safety support, and cross-functional communication while upholding NexGen’s values and operational standards. 

Key Responsibilities

(Including but not limited to)
Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE)
  • Promotes a culture of health, safety, and environmental protection on the project by taking an active role in supporting the Contractor Safety Management (CSMP) to achieve compliance of NexGen HS&E standards, applicable OH&S Acts, regulations, and codes.
  • Assists in environmental requirements and collection of key reports and testing.
 
Operational Oversight
  • Coordinates and administers the QAQC documents and site progress capture using drones etc.
  • Maintains project office area including job site trailer or office, master filing system, project billings, cost accounting system and project directory, and Aconex document controls.
  • Assists all Surface construction operations by coordinating between work groups.
  • Issues daily, weekly and monthly reports on construction progress.
 
Leadership and Performance
  • Performs general administrative and recordkeeping functions including the review and distribution of documentation; preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes; maintenance of files, logs, drawings, specifications, submittals, and Requests for Information.
  • Coordinates the change order management process by securing pricing from the vendor/subcontractor, reviewing, and inputting the data for construction manager review.
 
Project & Operational Readiness
  • Participates in the tracking of project milestones; assists with the maintenance of the project schedule and baseline schedule.
  • Provides Rook I team with feedback and endorsement for construction estimates, budgets, forecasts, and schedules, in collaboration with the Construction Manager.
  • Involved in the necessary engineering and design processes (HAZOPs, HAZIDs, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction coordination, camp support services, or related administrative fieldwork.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with remote project sites and infrastructure operations.
  • Experience working with document control systems such as Aconex.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail in document tracking and reporting.
  • Basic understanding of safety programs and environmental compliance in industrial or mining environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with drone software, scheduling tools, or SAP is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to multitask and support teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
